John Murphy, Paul Myers and B. N. Suter were all workers for the Fostoria Glass Company in Moundsville, West Virginia. John Murphy made weights during pre-work hours and noon-hour breaks. His weight making inspired others to also make weights including Paul Myers. B. N. Suter was also a worker at Fostoria and did a lot of the cutting for both of these makers. They used quality glass and the cutting was superb.
